The number of visited sites on groups with polynomial volume growth

For a random walk on an infinite graph the constants which describe the behavior of the log asymptotic of the negative exponential moments of the number of sites visited by the walk are typically not well understood.� I will discuss the application of a technique from random media to this problem for random walks on the Cayley graphs of finitely generated groups with polynomial volume growth.
